I offer both 1:1 Personal Training and Online Coaching. All these come with different price packages to suit your needs. Please refer to my services page for more details. 1:1 Personal Training are by appointments only, as such as I do not have set opening and closing hours.
After initial coaching enquiries, clients can have the option to choose either a free face to face consultation or a free zoom video consultation. The initial consultation will give me the opportunity to gather more information to help towards your fitness goals. Information such as readiness to participate in physical activity (PARQ), diet, medical, health and lifestyle are all prerequisite before the commencement of our coaching contract. Additionally, I will also conduct a Movement and Mobility Assessment during our initial consultation as well. This will allow me to create a truly personalised training and nutrition package that is bespoke to your needs. We will then agree on a start date, normally a week after our initial consultation to allow me to put all your training and nutrition plan together. You will be invited to join my fitness app called Trainerize where all your coaching needs will be delivered. I specialise in fat loss, muscle gain and general fitness. I am a huge advocate in strength training. Strength training is often underrated as most people tend to associate cardio as the only way to optimise health benefits. My approach is that we use a combination of strength training as the main foundation and cardio as secondary to reach your goals. There are so many benefits people forget to associate with strength training. The accretion of lean body mass, the optimisation of bone health as we progressively aged, heart health, weight management, stress management and reduction in diabetes risk are a few examples of benefits strength training can provide.
A gym membership is desirable, however my coaching program allows clients the opportunity to train at home as well. All I ask is for you to have some basic equipment at home such as dumbbells, kettlebells, and/or barbell training systems, an adjustable bench and a variety of resistance bands.
Each exercise is accompanied by a video demonstration and key teaching points in the fitness app where all your training plan is delivered.
You can message me any queries 24/7 regarding your training and nutrition in the fitness app I have assigned to you. I typically respond to all queries on the same day.
As mentioned, all your workouts is delivered via the fitness app you are assigned to. Each client will have a bespoke workout where I will set reps, sets, weights used and time to complete all the workouts. The app allows me to track your progress every time you logged a finished workout. I use a progressive overload/periodisation approach regardless of your training experience as I believe this is the most effective way of maximising your progress.
Most clients see results in a few weeks. My job is to mentor, motivate and support your journey towards achieving a sustainable approach with your fitness goals. I will be giving you a framework and a whole heap of support and guidance, but ultimately the result depends on your commitment towards the program I have set out for you.
No, the training plan I create for you is tailored to fit around your needs. I understand we all have competing priorities and time we can dedicate to each exercise. As a general guide, most clients are able to dedicate 2-3 workouts a week, whilst some are able to dedicate 4-5 workouts a week. All I ask is you don't skip a workout and come back later to it when you are able to.
I generally recommend clients to track their nutrition using My Fitness Pal app. Your tracking will be linked to the fitness app you are assigned to. This way I can provide you the support that you need with regards to optimising your nutrition goals. However, I do understand dietary tracking isn't for everyone, as some clients may prefer other approaches that doesn't involve dietary tracking. If this is the case, there are other options we can utilise to provide you the support towards your nutrition goals. Currently dietary tracking is contraindicated in populations who have diagnosed or undiagnosed eating disorders. Please be aware that working with this population is beyond my scope of practice. It is essential that you seek help from a qualified professional before embarking on the coaching program. I expect you to be honest and open to me during our initial consultation in order to provide you with the right support and guidance.
No, I don't believe in giving clients meal plans as once the meal plan ends, with no rules to follow, you will be back to square one. We all have different dietary needs and it is beyond my scope of practice to offer you meal plans. Only registered dieticians are able to offer dietary meal plans. What I can provide you with is a set of calorie and macronutrient goals to meet. This will be logged in the fitness app via My Fitness Pal. The fitness app will have a library of meal recipes you can utilise to make healthy informed food choices. We will address what you are eating to make sure your diet aligns with the results you want to achieve. I will be arming you with the knowledge and tools to take control of your nutrition and make independent choices about the food you eat, moving forward.
Training progress is tracked in the fitness app on a daily basis, and every time you logged in and completed the workouts I have set out for you. During our weekly check ins, I will look at your training progress from the logged workouts you have completed and compare this from week to weeks basis. Depending on the coaching goals you require from me, I will also need your weight, body measurements and progress photos during our weekly checkins. I understand that not every client prefers to adopt this approach, if this is the case please let me know during our initial consultation.
